The temporary restaurant – Redzepi’s first – will be open from 28 July until 6 August. It will serve Nordic cuisine from Redzepi’s Noma restaurant in Copenhagen, which has twice been voted Best Restaurant in the World in the ‘World's 50 Best Restaurant Awards’.
The five-course menu will be priced from £195 and will reflect Redzepi’s focus on foraging and reinterpreting Nordic cuisine.
'A Taste of Noma at Claridge’s' will be open for lunch and dinner in the Claridge’s Ballroom. Redzepi will be in attendance every day with his team of chefs from Noma.
Taste Festivals is part of Brand Events, which runs restaurant festivals in 15 cities around the world, all based on the flagship Taste of London.
Justin Clarke, CEO of Taste Festivals said:"The pop-up restaurant is the creation of a brief that was put to us by Claridge’s as they wanted to do something special to celebrate the Olympic Games. The premise of Taste Festivals is that restaurants and chefs engage with their public in innovative ways - chefs are the best champions of food and drink. In a sense, every Taste festival we organise is a giant pop-up."Details of the experience and menu haven't yet been released, but Clarke said: "People will be coming to a dining experience – the word experience is key there. One of the key challenges is that Noma is in Denmark and it’s very much about time and place. So we are working with René to work out how that translates here. It’s not just about the food, it’s about the overall experience you’re having."
