Visitor numbers were up 15% on 2010, with consumer spend across the show reaching £2.5m – a 17% increase on last year.

According to organisers, more than 60% of exhibitors have already rebooked space for next year’s event – a 15% increase on last year. The show will be held on 30 November – 2 December 2012.

Taste of Christmas show manager Vicky Bodhani said: "We are delighted to have bucked the trend with growth in ticket sales, exhibitor numbers and consumer spend. We couldn’t be happier that in the current climate Taste of Christmas has delivered its most successful event to date, which puts us in a very exciting position for 2012."
