Tara P-T strips for Lineker in latest Walkers campaign

LONDON - Tara Palmer-Tomkinson is to strip in front of Gary Lineker to reveal stockings and a basque in one of Walkers' more risque ads for its Sensations Poppadom Bites.

Walkers Sensations re-signed the former 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' star, presenter and "it girl" at the beginning of last month and the new ad campaign, through Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, will launch on Thursday.

Palmer-Tomkinson plays a 50s screen goddess who arrives at a doctor's surgery for help to overcome her addiction to new Walkers Poppadom Bites in the latest "Posh" TV ad.

On arrival she strips off ready for a full examination, exposing sexy stockings and basque underwear. She then explains her problem through a song called 'Goodness Gracious Me'. She is unaware that the doctor is the infamous crisp thief Gary Lineker.

Lineker employs a range of devious tactics to steal Palmer-Tomkinson's Poppadom Bites and eventually she resorts to drastic measures such as kicking off her shoes to protect her snacks, leaving him with little to say but "Goodness gracious me".

The ad was art directed by Peter Souter and media planning and buying is through OMD UK.

Krys Jankowski, brand manager for Sensations, said: "The ad is quite risque for Walkers, but it's certainly going to be remembered and talked about lots."

Previous advertising for the Sensations brand featured Victoria Beckham, aka "Posh" Spice, to reflect the crisp brand's upmarket positioning, but she was later replaced by the posher Tara Palmer-Tomkinson.

Sensations Poppadom Bites are premium crisps and are available in Creamy Chicken Pasanda, Corianda, Cool Yoghurt and Mint, and Spicy Tandoori Masala flavours.
