Talkbiznow is free and hopes to attract three million users worldwide within the first six months. Third-party advertising will provide the revenue for the new site, with members also able to include their own adverts on their profiles. The company has 11 staff in the UK and US.
Talkbiznow co-founder and chief executive Martin Warner previously worked for JPMorgan and Bearing Point, part of KPMG. The new venture has been in development for six months. It has raised funding from European investors and is in the process of securing a further $25m (£13.4m).
