Sunday Telegraph to launch 6 Nations Guide and DVD

LONDON - The Sunday Telegraph is to publish a 6 Nations Guide, a preview to the international rugby tournament and is also offering a free 60-minute DVD featuring the greatest 5/6 Nations moments from history in the paper this weekend.

The 32-page full-colour supplement features a team-by-team assessment and a profile of French coach Bernard Laporte written by Paul Ackford, former England international and rugby correspondent for the paper. England's World Cup-winning hooker Steve Thompson will also write for the guide and will be a regular contributor throughout the year.

The supplement also contains a piece by former Welsh international Iuean Evans, looking ahead to his home nation's chances and leading coach Nick Mallett talks about the need for France to improve on their poor showing in Australia.

A 30-second TV spot will air on ITV, Channel 4 and Five to support the supplement and DVD promotion from February 5 to 8.

Mark Dixon, marketing director at the Telegraph Group, said: "Rugby coverage is one of the Sunday Telegraph's key strengths. We're sure that this in-depth and informative preview to the rugby 6 Nations and the DVD will be extremely popular."
