Targeted at individuals aged between 16 and 30 years-old, the recruitment business will also help young people looking to start a career in the music, fashion, journalism, film and broadcast industries.
Stepladder, which this year has helped more than 250 young people to find a job, is run by project manager Lucy Watson, a finalist in this year’s for the Rising Star category.
She has been travelling to universities nationwide to place young event professionals in freelance, permanent and work experience roles with AEG, Meatopia UK and Loudsound.
In the last five months, Watson has placed over 80 young people into roles at Chime for Change, Field Day and Eastern Electrics, as well as Hyde Park BST and Meatopia, which saw teams of 25 youths working in VIP Hosting.
The initiative, which re-branded its services this year, also offers free CV and career advice.
