The activation was designed to drive interest in the new product, which is being stocked in grocery and convenience stores.

Caffe Americano with milk cups were suspended in a two metre high-iced wall which encapsulated the token-activated vending machines.

The ice sculpture will dispense chilled Caffe Americano with milk samples to commuters in need of a pick me up.

Rebecca Kemp, senior marketing manager for Starbucks, said: "This experiential sampling activity is sure to create an impactful chilled moment for our coffee lovers – we wanted to interrupt the stressful commute with a reminder that it is possible to get a little lift without losing momentum."
