The three-day event promises a range of interactive experiences, with a Borg hive and shuttlecraft set to be on hand for attendees to explore.

Visitors to the experience will also be able to take the reins of a Klingon bird-of-prey, a warship commonly used in the television series and films, as well as the famous U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 and NCC-1701-D starships.

Original props and costumes will be available to view in the dedicated Destination Star Trek Museum, and there will be opportunities for fans to meet the cast and crew.

William Shatner will headline the event; meanwhile Christopher Lloyd, Walter Koenig and Marina Sirtis, among others, will be in attendance.

Media 10 is producing the show alongside Massive Events and Showmasters.

Mark Woollard, event organiser, Destination Star Trek Europe, said: "For five decades, Star Trek has influenced the world around us through its voyages to the Final Frontier.

"Destination Star Trek Europe will honour the series’ impact and celebrate its legions of fans that are inspired to boldly go where no one has gone before."
