
Among the speaker line-up are Dan Germain, head of creative at Innocent; Neil Harris, Cisco’s head of sustainability; Inder Poonaji, head of safety, health and environment for Nestle; and Jane Culcheth-Beard, Hewlett Packard’s head of events for Western Europe.
The brands will be giving delegates an insight into their sustainability strategies and sharing best practice.
The Sustainable Events Summit plans to galvanise the industry to do more to help brands put a greater focus on staging sustainable-focused events.
"We cannot risk waiting for another ten years to take significant action on this topic," said Nick de Bois, Conservative MP and chair of All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) inquiry into the competitiveness of the UK events industry.
"Sustainable business practices could become a pre-condition for working with clients at any time and the events industry needs to show that it is ready and has evolved."
The APPG report found a "genuine desire by the end buyer for more sustainable events management practices has yet to be established."
Fiona Pelham, managing director of Positive Impact, which will provide educational content at the summit, added: "Summit attendees will have the chance to share have their opinions and influence the voice of Positive Impact in 2014."
