Spar and Teletext offer trips to Florence in promotional campaign

LONDON - Grocery retailer Spar and Teletext Holidays TV have joined forces for a six-week instore promotional campaign giving consumers the chance to win a trip for a family of four to the Spar European Cup in Florence this June.

Spar, which has a turnover of 拢2bn, is raising awareness of its international sponsorship of the European Athletic Association and national sponsorship of the Spar Sprints initiative.

SP Partnerships has brought the groups together for a promotional campaign consisting of window posters, shelf wobblers, shelf barkers, hanging cards and leaflets.

There are six holidays offered between April 25 and June 1 with consumers given the chance to travel to the Spa European Cup, which starts on June 17 for three days in Florence, Italy.

The prizes include return flights from Gatwick to Florence, three nights in three-star B&B accommodation, tickets to the Spar European Cup and 拢100 spending money with the winning family picked out of each of Spar's six UK regions.

Sumi King, marketing manager for Teletext Holidays TV, said: "This tactical promotion offers us an excellent way to reinforce and remind Spar customers about the great value deals available on Teletext Holidays TV, especially during the build up to the key summer holiday months."
