South West England RDA launches investment drive

LONDON - The South West England Regional Development Agency is launching an integrated campaign, created by integrated agency Space, to persuade senior business professionals to invest in the region.

The press, online and direct marketing campaign launches today and will run for at least six weeks.

The creative idea is based on South West stories with leading business figures from blue-chip companies based in the region, including Intel, Yeo Valley and Motorola, explaining the business benefits of their location.

It features the strapline: "Business. Life. Inspiration."

The creative also contains business facts on what the region has to offer potential investors and promotes the work-life balance that the location provides.

Direct mail will be sent to around 3,000 senior decision makers, including chief executive officers, managing directors and finance directors of knowledge-based companies of over 50 employees based outside the region.

The press ads will appear in The Times, Sunday Times and Financial Times.

Tim Stubbings, marketing manager at the South West England RDA, said: "We are convinced that the balance of education, information and engagement delivered through the integrated campaign developed by Space will stimulate greater interest in the region and shift perception measures exponentially."

David Atkinson, managing partner at Space, said: "We believe that creatively using the business community in the region to positively communicate their experiences will demand the attention of leading industry decision makers, UK-wide."
