Sony hires Gyro Group for AIT Turbo campaign

LONDON – Sony Electronics has hired Gyro Group to handle a pan-European direct marketing campaign to promote its new PC server backup product, AIT Turbo.

The campaign will use direct mail to target PC users in the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands and Sweden and is supported by advertising in the trade press and online media.

AIT Turbo is being labelled as an enhanced service to the market leading Digital Data Storage (DDS) technology, which was jointly developed by Sony.

Mark Lufkin, Sony Europe's storage sales and marketing general manager, said: "DDS has now reached its viable performance limits and there is a need for updated, enhanced technologies to meet the back up requirement of today's PC servers. AIT provides this enhanced alternative."
