In her new position Lury will be charged with maintaining Somethin’ Else’s relationships with clients including Penguin Random House, Red Bull, The British Fashion Council and The Economist.

She will report to Ben Kerr, the Somethin’ Else chief strategy director who joined from Omnicom’s Drum in January last year.

At ZenithOptimedia for the last seven years, Lury was initially a business director before becoming a strategy director in November 2013 and then a client partner in January this year.

Kerr said: "For many clients content is no longer a short-term tactic on the media plan but is becoming an ‘always-on’ part of the communications mix. As we extend our influence on the agency roster it’s vital we ensure the level of service we offer is equal to the quality of content we create.

"Hannah brings with her a powerful mix of account handling expertise, data insight and media strategy, her experience will help us strengthen the relationships we have now and evolve our service proposition for the future."

Recent Somethin’ Else work for Penguin has included a podcast, hosted by Richard E Grant, in which authors, musicians, comedians and actors bring along a number of objects that influenced their new book.
