Smyle has been working on large logistics-focussed projects for 18 months and is now creating a new department for services like venue sourcing and delegate management.

It has hired Sinead Barry as event logistics manager to head up the new offering. She told Event: "While Smyle has been proving the service before, we have brought it more closely in-house with my appointment. I’ll be picking up all the venue sourcing and delegate management and the on-site delivery of logistics moving forward."

Barry has nine years experience in the industry. She was formerly a project manager working on global events at agency Grass Roots. Before that she worked at agency Banks Sadler on one of its pharmaceutical teams.

Dominic Thomas-Smith, events director at Syle said: "Over the last 18 months, we have been fortunate to have worked on a number of large logistics focused events for existing and new clients and are excited by the opportunity available to us in this sector. Bringing Sinead in to head this department provides us with some real focus in this space and provides our clients with a dedicated and experienced resource."
