Sky, British Gas, Dennis Publishing nominated for IDM Awards

LONDON - Brands including Sky, Everest and EDF Energy have been nominated for the IDM Business Performance Awards 2009. OgilvyOne, EHS Brann and Meterorite are amongst the 21 agencies shortlisted, with six in the running for the awards' top prize, the BPA Diamond.

Twenty-five projects have been nominated for the DQM Group-sponsored awards, known for having onerous entry requirements.

The awards take place on 4 June and recognise "modern, accountable marketing". Entire Direct Marketing, CHI & Partners, Adestra, Manning Gottlieb OMD and Union Direct have all been nominated twice.

Derek Holder, the IDM's managing director, said that "despite the recession" there was a "significantly high number of entries this year, particularly showing new strengths in digital marketing".
 
Entrants for the BPA Diamond have to disclose a large amount of detail to demonstrate how their marketing programme has made a long-term, strategic contribution to the business. The projects nominated for the IDM BPA Diamond are:

The BPA Diamond winner last year was travel brand Thomson and its agencies WDMP Communications and CreatorMail for a campaign entitled: ‘How a personalised customer direct marketing campaign changed the marketing culture of a forty year old company forever'.
