Silverstone hires Yucca to overhaul website

The project, which was awarded following a pitch against undisclosed agencies, will see Yucca rebuild the venue's website from scratch.

Richie Jones, creative technology director at Yucca, said the new site will go live in the third quarter, and community features such as user reviews may be added in phase two of the project.

"The key thing that we're going to focus on is the information architecture of the website, as at the moment it has some challenges as a sales tool. Silverstone is a really aspirational brand, it's got loads of heritage, but its site is not effective as it could be," he said.

Silverstone has been used as a motor racing venue since the 1940s and hosts the British Grand Prix.
