Sexy female housemate to enter Big Brother house on Friday

LONDON - Speculation is hotting up that 'Big Brother' will bring in a new female housemate as it emerged that Friday's eviction show has been extended to an hour.

Instead of the usual half-hour eviction interview with Davina at 10pm, TV schedules reveal the show will not finish until 11.05pm -- leaving an extra half-an-hour for the introduction of a rumoured sexy eleventh housemate.

Earlier in the week it was reported 'Big Brother' producers were planning to introduce the new housemate to spice things up after the consecutive evictions of Mary, Lesley and Sam left the show with only three girls.

The arrival of a new housemate will also shake things up because there is no real romance in the house this year. Saskia and Maxwell appear to be cooling off while Makosi and Anthony's flirting appears to be just that.

Channel 4 refused to confirm the arrival of a new housemate, but it would not be an unprecedented move.

Previous years have seen surprise housemates introduced: gay Josh Rafter in 'Big Brother 2'; Sophie Pritchard in the third season; Welsh Lisa in 'Big Brother 4' and last year's stripper Becki Seddiki.

Meanwhile, Italian teacher Roberto has overtaken Tory speechwriter Derek as favourite to get booted out of the house on Friday with odds of 1/2 while Derek has slipped to 6/4, according to bookmakers William Hill.
