Makosi is new favourite to win Big Brother as Sam set to go

LONDON - Zimbabwean nurse Makosi is the new favourite to win 'Big Brother' after her odds were slashed from 4/1 to 7/2, with self-proclaimed sex addict Sam almost certain to be booted out tomorrow night according to bookies.

Lager loving Maxwell is in second position with odds of 4/1 while 70s dancer, Anthony has climbed from sixth position to be the third most likely winner of the reality series with odds of 5/1, according to bookmaker Ladbrokes.

Ladbrokes spokesperson Warren Lush said: "Makosi has tricked and teased her way to becoming favourite to win but the race for the prize money is wide open, it could be the most open series yet."

Marketing student Sam yesterday overtook gay Tory speechwriter Derek as the favourite to get the boot from the house on Friday with odds of 2/7, down from 4/5.

Lush said the public were sick of the bikini-clad warbler.

"The writing is on the wall for Sam, not even snogging or lap dancing is going to save her bacon," Lush added.

Derek is second favourite for the chop with odds of 11/4 from 5/4 while Italian teacher Roberto is least likely to go with odds of 14/1 from 7/1.

News from inside the house includes late-night snogs in the loft for Saskia and Maxwell, Sam and Makosi, and Anthony and Makosi as the housemates tried their hand at speed-dating for the mini-task.

The group were also told they had failed their weekly Pirate Ship task in the first hour when Saskia, Maxwell and Vanessa were caught not wearing their regulation pirate hats.

The housemates now have a basic food budget of £70 for the week.
