The new unit has secured the League Managers Association (LMA) as its first client and is set to announce another client in the coming weeks.

The unit will be headed by Mike Bokaie, the founder and former chief executive of Caspian Publishing, which has clients including HSBC.

The new unit will firstly relaunch the League Managers Association quarterly title The Manager, previously published by Caspian.

The debut issue of the new-look title will appear in May with an exclusive interview with England manager Fabio Capello. The magazine is sent to all LMA members across the country, as well as chief executives and finance directors of football clubs.

Seven Squared's strategy over the past 12 months has been to set up units within the Seven Squared overall brand.

It previously set up an agency called Blue Door with a remit to secure small to medium-sized clients.

In April, The Guardian disclosed that it was outsourcing production of its commercially funded supplements to Seven Squared.

The Guardian's parent group Guardian Media Group (GMG) is a shareholder in Seven Squared.
