Engine Creative teamed up with the photographer Rankin for a campaign to raise awareness of lung cancer symptoms.
Based on research which found that 57% of non-smoker lung cancer patients aren't diagnosed until it is too late, the campaign showcases breathlessness, a persistent cough and recurring chest infections as symptoms of lung cancer. It features nine patients (eight never-smokers) who were all diagnosed with stage IIIb or IV lung cancer, and ends with the tagline: "Early diagnosis saves lives. See through the symptoms."
The work was created by Bilel Labjaoui and Charlie Hallam, with photography by Rankin.
Rankin also worked on relationship charity Relate’s "Let’s talk the joy of sex", which shows couples as they connnect with each other on-screen.
