The company will provide all catering at the venue, also known as The Rep, which has recently undergone a two and a half year refurbishment.

This will include catering for conferences and private events, as well as the 90-cover restaurant, terrace and on-site café and bars, over the next five years.

The kitchen will be overseen by Michelin-starred chef, Paul Welburn, former head chef at Gary Rhodes’ flagship restaurant in London.

Doug Tetley, Searcys' chief executive, said: "We are very excited to be a part of the redevelopment of the Birmingham Repertory Theatre and to have a presence in the UK’s second city.

"The Centenary Brasserie has an incredible location in the heart of the city and we look forward to showcasing some fantastic local food producers."
