Following the promotion of Jodie Guilford to event sales manager, SMG has welcomed Chloe Crisp as event sales executive at the Science Museum. Joining from the Hippodrome Casino in London where she held the position of events administrator, Crisp’s new role will see her looking after sales enquiries for hire of the museum’s multiple event spaces.

Also recognising talent within its team, the National Railway Museum in York has promoted Michelle Rennoldson to event sales manager. Previously working at both the National Railway Museum and the National Media Museum as events planning manager for Compass Group UK & Ireland, Rennoldson will now take the lead of the railway museum’s sales team, following a number of investments in its gallery and event spaces.

Joining her at the York venue will be Helen Boyse who has been appointed as event sales executive. Helen brings a wealth of experience in conference and hospitality from York’s Cedar Court Grand Hotel and Spa, where she worked across both sales and events. Boyse is responsible for engaging with clients to promote the galleries and platforms available for hire at the venue.

Sam Owen, head of commercial and live events at Science Museum Group, said: "We are extremely pleased to be adding such talented and experienced new members to our teams in both London and York. As a group we work hard to ensure that we offer our clients a unique experience across all of our venues and our passionate and dedicated staff are key to making this happen.

"I look forward to welcoming our new recruits, who I know will make a valuable contribution to our existing team and add to the ongoing success of the business."
