"It is with much sorrow that I have decided to leave Excite. I am very proud of the show and have really enjoyed running it over the past three years," said Sanders. "However, the recent death of my father has seen me re-evaluate many things and I have decided that now is a good time to leave and seek new challenges. I wish everyone involved with Excite great success."

AEO interim chairman Austen Hawkins, who runs F2F Events, said he was sad to see Sanders leave.
