LONDON – IPC Ignite's expanding internet and mobile sales offering is to be headed by Andrew Sanders in the newly created role of new-media sales director.

Sanders, currently solutions director for Ignite advertising, will work across websites and mobile platforms for Nuts, Uncut and NME.

The appointment comes as IPC Ignite has seen 51% year-on-year growth in its digital revenues in 2005.

Karl Marsden, group commercial director, said: "We now need a senior operator to lead our sales effort in this critical area and in Andrew we have the perfect man for the job."

Marsden also promoted commercial manager David Fisher to business development director for Ignite. Fisher has been closely involved the ongoing development of RSVP, the cross media alliance IPC has with Viacom and GCap.

"David has also played an influential role across our solutions sales effort at large."
