The roll out of the new smart phone will come late this year.
In the meantime, Samsung has appointed Grey London as its new communications partner for the launch of JET, its new full touch mobile handset.
Samsung JET has been unveiled at a series of global launch events in London, Dubai and Singapore and will be the subject of a £5m campaign with the strapline ‘impatience is a virtue' running during the months of July and August.
Grey won the brief after a pitch against Cheil and BMB.
Samsung marketing director Mika Martin-Cruz said Grey would work on communications for the UK and European markets.
He denied reports that Samsung Electronics had appointed Grey as its lead global ad agency.
