Separately, the supermarket is reviewing its social media business for its finance arm.
The social media account is different to the Sainsbury’s Bank creative business, which has been held by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO since 2007.
In February, PHD retained the supermarket’s £60 million media planning and buying business, which includes its retail and banking operations. The agency beat Maxus and MediaCom in the pitch.
Sainsbury’s Bank released a video on Facebook on Bonfire Night that offered tips on helping nervous animals.
In May last year, the company promoted its credit card with a TV ad showing people looking at rainbows.
Sainsbury’s Bank launched in 1997 and has been wholly owned by the supermarket chain since January 2014.
It offers car, home, life, pet and travel insurance, as well as travel money, credit cards, savings and loans.
Sainsbury’s did not respond to requests for comment.
