
It has booked a black and white ad in The Daily Telegraph carrying the headline "Is this why easyJet won't publish their punctuality stats?" above three newspaper headlines cuttings.
At the bottom is the line "EasyJet can't match our prices, or our punctuality either".
In response to the ad easyJet spokesman Andrew McConnell said: "We would like to correct Ryanair’s false accusation that we do not disclose our on time performance. Last year our punctuality has improved from 75 to 80%; this information can be easily found in our annual report which is published on our website."
Today's papers also carry , the result of an earlier broadside at its rival's punctuality record which backfired.
The offending campaign was placed to highlight the fact easyJet had not been publishing its punctuality figures. It used a picture of Stelios pictured with a long nose and called on him to "stop hiding the truth" about easyJet's on-time performance.
The apology ad highlights that Stelios is not responsible for the non-publication of the statistics.
