Michael O'Leary, chief executive at the budget airline, said that price comparison-only sites will gain access to Ryanair flight information if they make an annual charitable donation of €100.
O'Leary has been a vocal critic of ‘screen-scraper' websites, which take information about flights from airline websites without prior permission. Earlier this month Ryanair took tour operator Tui UK to court, and the brand agreed to cease unauthorised screen-scraping from Ryanair's site.
Ryanair recently caused controversy by suggesting it may introduce a ‘fat tax', where overweight customers would be forced to pay an additional fee to fly with the airline.
