The 45-episode television series focuses on the nation’s top chefs competing for the chance to cook a banquet for a high-profile figure or a worthwhile cause. Past events have included banquets to honour the Queen’s 80th birthday and British troops returning from Afghanistan.
The latest series of Great British Menu is celebrating the success of Comic Relief and the millions of pounds it raises for UK charities every year.
The grand finale banquet will be a star-studded occasion attended by around 100 guests from the world of show business, as well as the unsung heroes of charity work. It will be served in the Royal Albert Hall’s Gallery overlooking the main auditorium. The venue’s catering partner Rhubarb will manage the front-of-house event delivery and assist behind the scenes with the food preparation.
Royal Albert Hall, Food and Beverage marketing coordinator Sophie Aghdami said: "The Hall is a unique destination for exclusive dining events for up to 2,000 guests and we’re particularly excited to be hosting Great British Menu."
