RIBA Venues strengthens senior team

RIBA Venues, the conference and events arm of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), has appointed Elizabeth Poland-Smith to the role of business development manager.

Poland-Smith joins from Cavendish Conference Venues where she also held the role of business development manager for the last three years. She previously worked at Greater London Ventures and was a founding member and shareholder of ETC Venues. 

In her role at RIBA, Poland-Smith will be responsible for sourcing, targeting and winning new business for across the venue's 23 meeting rooms, which includes spaces for events from two to 400 guests with floor to ceiling windows, views over London and outside terraces.

Stephanie Ellrott, RIBA Venues’ head of venues, said: "We are delighted to have Elizabeth on board. With her extensive experience and enthusiasm she will master this new area within venues perfectly and will build strong new relationships."
