Reuters will use the agency to develop promotional activity including direct marketing, sales promotion and core event work on a global basis.
Tequila won the business following a pitch through the AAR, involving four agencies. Its first task will be to drive awareness of Reuters products in the global asset management community.
In January, Reuters ran a campaign urging commuters to keep in touch via its website. The ads, by design agency Howdy, targeted professionals commuting via locations such as Liverpool Street and Cannon Street stations.
Tequila joins Reuters' agency roster, which also includes M&C Saatchi. It developed a £15m image-building campaign for Reuters in 2003 to combat declining revenues.
