The company, which has hired Tequila\Manchester to handle the activity, is increasing its commitment to sales promotion to encourage consumers to try out its products. The campaign will launch later this month in major multiples across the UK.
Acdoco will focus the activity on four of its core brands: Stain Devils, Glo Care, Acdo Washing Powder and Dr Beckmann Rescue.
The company hopes the promotion will give its portfolio greater stand-out in stores compared with its competitors, which include Procter & Gamble's Flash, SC Johnson's Mr Muscle and Reckitt Benckiser's Vanish.
Planned promotions include a money-back guarantee that will appear on 200,000 packs of Dr Beckmann Rescue. This will promise that if the product is 'not strong enough or kind enough' for consumers, they can obtain a refund.
Tequila, which was appointed without a pitch, is also preparing a sampling push that will run in several hundred Asda stores in the coming weeks. Branded stands placed next to Asda's George Back to School range will promote Glo Care stain removal products.
Last year, Acdoco sealed a co-marketing agreement with former rival Orange Glo Europe covering the latter's cleaning range, which includes OxiClean, Kaboom and Orange Clean. As part of this deal, Orange Glo recently announced the launch of an OxiClean range for babies.
