The company said that Samplenet eResearch Solutions, which trades under the name OpenVenue, had been acquired for £4.9m in cash and 1.1m new ordinary shares at two pence each.
An additional consideration might be payable dependent on the performance of OpenVenue's gross margin targets between October 31 this year and October 21 2008.
OpenVenue, which was founded in 1999, specialises in online research through online data collection services.
On completion, Research Now, which has 11 offices worldwide, will make 14.1m ordinary shares available at two pence each. This will be admitted on to the AIM exchange where Research Now trades. Upon completion, Research now will have 14,126,457 ordinary shares at 2p each.
