Refuge launches new sites designed by Code Computerlove

LONDON - Domestic violence charity Refuge is launching a microsite and updating its website, as part of a new campaign to encourage people to speak out against the crime.

The sites have been developed by digital marketing agency Code Computerlove.

The supports a new Speak Out Against Domestic Violence campaign, launched by Refuge in partnership with Avon yesterday. It carries a link to an online petition and to a site where people can buy Avon's "empowerment necklace'"

The facelift has given it improved functionality in a bid to increase support from the general public.

Lisa King, director of communications for Refuge, said: "The microsite forms a pivotal part of the new Speak Out Against Domestic Violence campaign that we're running with Avon.

"It gives us a way in which we can communicate our campaign messages in a distinct and separate way from our main website. One of the key elements to this campaign is our online petition and the microsite is the key driver for this being a success."

The campaign is being supported with banner advertising, digital channel activity and a tie up with The Sun newspaper.

Earlier this week it was announced that Hollywood actress . As part of its support, Avon global ambassador Witherspoon will host a press conference at the House of Commons on 2 December.
