The new alliance is Reed’s first foray into the Saudi market, and marks the beginning of its expansion in the region.
The firm will base itself in Jeddah, Saudi’s trade centre, and is planning to launch a number of international events in the city from 2012.
"The Saudi market, being the biggest in the region, is of key importance for our future business," said President of Reed Exhibitions Middle East Frederic Theux. "We are confident that it will further thrive in light of the new steps taken by the Saudi government to achieve social and economic development in the Kingdom."
President of Alfadl Group Mohammed Alfadl added: "This partnership will secure us a strong position in the exhibition market in the Kingdom. We will benefit from Reed's global reach and vast expertise in this arena."
Last year Saudi’s GDP bypassed one trillion Saudi riyal, making it the largest Arab economy.
