Reed Exhibitions has partnered with Swan Events to be organisers of G2E Europe, with views on the event's potential being sought from key players in the gaming industry on whether to launch the show.
"It is important to get the industry’s opinion on whether there is a need for G2E Europe because we want to ensure the industry is served best," said Reed Germany business development director Christian Mayerhofer.
Swan Events is headed by former Clarion Events gaming show director Karen Cooke, who now runs the European Amusement and Gaming Expo on behalf of UK trade association Bacta.
Reed Exhibitions currently organises G2E in Las Vegas and Macau. This new show would go head to head with Clarion Events' European casino equipment exhibition the ICE show, held at .
"If the industry decides to go ahead with G2E Europe I believe there will only be space for one major European gaming show," added Mayerhofer.
