"Eric has been a close supporter of RTE for many years and his industry experience and knowledge will provide a perfect partnership for the management team and our global portfolio of events," said Reed group exhibition director Craig Moyes.
"We hope that his international perspective, not least the work he has done in the last year, will give us some interesting new ideas across all levels of our business," he added.
Rozenberg was the first European president of MPI and was one of the founding members of the EIBTM CEO Club.
He will continue to head-up his own company, Belgian-based event agency Swantegy, which has clients in some 50 countries.
"I am delighted to be joining the team at RTE to work across their global portfolio from a strategic perspective, helping develop their business performance through this important role," said Rozenberg.
