The sponsorship includes coverage for the brand in Q magazine, its radio station and website before and after the awards, which will be held on 6 October.
Red Stripe, which is marketed by brewer Wells & Young's, is also sponsoring the Best New Act category at the awards.
The sponsorship of the awards follows on from Red Stripe's headline sponsorship of the Camden Crawl, the Great Escape and Liverpool Sound City events.
Jonny Kirkham, marketing manager for lagers at Wells and Young's, said: ‘Red Stripe is now ready to expand its focus from live music venues to other on-trade outlets such as student unions, and the awards heightens the profile for the beer.'
Red Stripe is currently growing at 2.4% in the premium draught lager category, against a sector decline of 13%.
