Reader's Digest signs Absolute Movers deal with Experian

LONDON – Reader's Digest has signed a deal with Experian to use the Absolute Movers file with the aim of improving its direct marketing activity in the UK.

Stephen Boyle, head of marketing services for Reader's Digest, said: "The breadth, depth and recency of data Experian's file provides will help us further improve our goneaway suppression strategy.

"Because Absolute Movers doesn't rely on assumed data and uses fully validated records it means that only genuine home moves are suppressed from receiving our direct marketing communications."

Reader's Digest has joined more than 1,500 other organisations in the UK who use the file to identify home owners and, according to Experian, help reduce the financial, regulatory and brand-image risks created by mailing goneaways.

Absolute Movers is available from Experian's Marketing Services bureau, Experian Intact, and Intact from QAS.
