REaD Group takes sole ownership of meta-morphix

The REaD Group has become sole owner of meta-morphix, the London-based data bureau, after buying out co-owner Tri-Direct's 50 per cent stake in the company.

Rob Salmon continues as meta-morphix's managing director, with Rupert Tomalin remaining as the company's head of operations and Andy Walton as head of IT. Mark Roy, CEO of The REaD Group, said the move was driven by REaD's ambition to become "the UK's leading data asset management company". Meta-morphix has "an enviable reputation with many of the UK's largest mailers, agencies, cataloguers and retailers," Roy said. Total ownership of meta-morphix would add to REaD's data management capabilities, Roy said, and enable the group to offer "a more holistic approach to data consultancy and product offerings over coming years". Salmon said REaD's new status as sole owner meant "business as usual" for meta-morphix. The company has had "total operational and financial independence from its investors, so REaD's acquisition of Tri-Direct's 50 per cent shareholding simply consolidates an already longstanding and mutually beneficial association," Salmon said.
