
On the evening of Saturday 21 May there will be whisky tastings, juleps and a dedicated whisky-only cocktail menu, inspired by jazz and blues artists.
R&B brand ambassador Chris Hoban and Kansas Smitty's bartender Victoria Charlton will be leading an interactive whisky and julep tasting from 5.30pm.
On arrival, guests will be given a Piney Brown Julep, featuring R&B Borders single grain whisky, lavender, pine, salted heather honey, bergamot, and lemon.
Guests will then be invited to sample R&B's two whiskies – the rose tinted single malt While We Wait and the golden single grain Borders.
Throughout the session participants will learn about the R&B handcrafting process, family heritage and future plans.
Working with R&B during May is the first of a series of monthly partnerships for the Kansas Smitty venue. Various drinks brands ranging from Bols Genever to new names like Our London Vodka, will work with the staff at Kansas Smitty’s to create a unique julep each month until December.
