Suntory unveiled a handmade cherry blossom installation within the Shochu Lounge at Roka Charlotte Street in London last Thursday (31 March).

Designed to celebrate Japan’s cherry blossom season, otherwise known as Sakura, the installation opened to the public last Friday (1 April) and will remain in place throughout the month.

The room features a series of trees, each of which is complete with individual branches and pale pink flowers designed to replicate the real thing. They can be found overlooking the venue’s tables and bar area, and are accompanied by pink lighting.

Floral design and event styling company Veevers Carter is behind the creation. The London-based team arrived at the venue from 6am on launch day to install each tree in respect to its surroundings.

Guests are able to enjoy a series of bespoke cocktails by Simon Freeth, bar development manager at Roka, which showcase Suntory’s Hibiki Japanese Harmony whisky product.

While the installation is exclusive to Roka Charlotte Street, the beverages are also available at the restaurant group’s Aldwych, Canary Wharf and Mayfair ourposts.
