Quiet Storm scoops London Lite account

LONDON - Associated Newspapers has appointed Quiet Storm to handle London Lite's marketing on a project basis.

The agency will develop trade marketing campaigns in 2008 for the free paper to help it fend off the competition from News International rival thelondonpaper.

VCCP previously handled marketing campaigns for London Lite, along with the creative account for Metro, which is also owned by Associated Newspapers.

VCCP developed the launch campaign for London Lite in September 2006.

Trevor Robinson, founder and creative director of Quiet Storm, said: "We felt a real connection with London Lite and are delighted to be working on such a great brand."

London Lite's circulation dropped 2.8% to 389,304 copies in December, according to last month's ABCs.

Thelondonpaper reported a circulation of 471,158 copies, despite a 5% drop.
