Publicis & Hal Riney to boost interactivity by hiring Goodby's Goldman

SAN FRANCISCO - Publicis & Hal Riney has hired Goodby, Silverstein & Partners' Dominic Goldman to be the creative director for its interactive division.

Goldman was group creative director at Goodby, Silverstein working on clients including Adobe, Subway and HP. Before this, he was creative director and head of the interactive group at Ogilvy & Mather in Singapore.

In his new role, Goldman will drive client branding strategies centred around interactivity, and develop that thinking through the agency. He will report to executive creative directors Jae Goodman and Jon Soto.

At the same time, the agency has also appointed a new worldwide creative director for brand interaction, Ken Cook. He joins from MRM, where he was executive creative director on the Microsoft business.

The appointments come as Hal Riney moves to provide clients with more focus on integrating their campaigns and providing more interactivity.

Goodman said: "Their addition to the team shows our commitment to putting integration and interactivity at the centre of the creative process.

"Ken and Dom will help us create consistent, effective messaging across all media -- from traditional to the most cutting-edge."
