Chasnow quits Publicis & Hal Riney after three months for 180 role

AMSTERDAM - Adam Chasnow is leaving Publicis & Hal Riney after less than three months to take up the role of creative director of independent agency 180 Amsterdam.

Chasnow was appointed group creative director at San Francisco-based Publicis & Hal Riney in March, heading the creative team for the telecoms brand Sprint.

He will relocate to 180 in Amsterdam in June and will initially work on the agency's global branding assignment for Motorola. At 180, he will report to co-executive creative directors Richard Bullock and Andy Fackrell.

Before joining Publicis & Hal Riney, Chasnow worked at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, on clients such as Hewlett-Packard, Adobe and GM motor marque Saturn.

Chasnow was also a vice-president and associate creative director at Cliff Freeman & Partners, New York, where he first worked with Bullock. As a copywriter, his work for Church's Chicken, Staples, Fox Sports, Hollywood Video and Mike's Hard Lemonade received many notable international advertising awards, including at Cannes and the D&AD pencils.

"Adam has just what we needed for this position, not just because of his body of award-winning work, but because he is passionate and knowledgeable about mobile technology and has the ability to communicate its benefits in simple yet captivating ways," Bullock said.

180 Amsterdam employs more than 80 people and its other clients include Dunlop Tyres, Dr Pepper and Adidas, on which it shares creative duties with TBWA\Chiat\Day San Francisco.
