The move aims to highlight that people don’t necessarily need to be vegetarian in order to enjoy meat-free meals every now and then.
The pop-up will serve dishes from the company’s new vegetarian range, with options such as an acai breakfast bowl, red tapenade and avo superbowl, macaroni cheese, kale and cauli dish and chana chaat flat bread among the options available.
Pret's chefs have also been tasked with creating two new vegetarian specials each month throughout the summer.
Consumers will be invited to have their say, by sharing their thoughts around which vegetarian products Pret should keep on its shelves permanently.
The activity forms part of the brand’s new Not Just For Veggies campaign, which was unveiled earlier this week (19 April).
Pret A Manger's Clive Schlee wrote on his CEO blog: "Our chefs are working hard to replace over 40 meat and fish dishes with new and exciting ingredients. This entails hours of testing and lots of patience from our loyal suppliers.
"Our takings in the shop will probably drop, but the pop-up will signal that Pret is serious about providing veggie and vegan options. And who knows, we might just find the next bestseller in the process."
Pret celebrated the arrival of its Christmas sandwich range last November, by which passers-by could unwrap.
