Preference Service launches online consumer survey

LONDON - The Preference Service plans to add a million new consumers to its database within 12 months through a new online version of its postal consumer preference survey.

The online survey, a shorter version of the postal survey, will be distributed beginning this month via email and will collect consumer data online. It is branded the Online Preference Service in association with the Royal Mail.

It will collect consumers' preferences regarding how they want companies to communicate with them, as well as their email, telephone and postal details.

Thomas Adalbert, managing director of The Preference Service, said: "As more people have access to email and the internet it makes sense for us to look at approaching consumers online."

The data will be added to The Preference Service's database of 3.5m households gathered by postal surveys since the company was established in 2000.
