Pozzitive launches YouTube channel

LONDON - Pozzitive, the production company behind comedies such as 'Coogan's Run' and 'The Comic Side of 7 Days' has launched an official YouTube channel to let users watch its sitcoms and programmes from the past 20 years for free.

Geoff Posner and David Tyler, Pozzitive's directors, said they were "tired of people watching low-quality clips of their shows online" and wanted to launch their own channel to drive revenue back to their comedians via the sale of official DVDs on .

Posner said: "Over the past few years, we've seen the widespread uploading of our copyright-protected clips from some of our biggest shows on media sharing sites like YouTube.

"Rather than sue fans or having all the clips removed, we decided to take matters into our own hands and fight free videos with free videos by putting up our own versions, in higher quality, from our official vault."
