Memac Ogilvy replaces Horizon.FCB following a four-way pitch for the brand's advertising and PR account, while media agency PHD takes over from Brand Connection after a five-way pitch.
The move is part of Power Horse's bid to become the number one energy brand in the region; the two agencies have been tasked with helping the company achieve that goal by fully repositioning Power Horse within the Middle East.
Emphasis will be placed on the important markets of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE and Kuwait. Memac's brief will also include the utilisation of CRM.
Omar El Banna, Power Horse's regional marketing manager for the Middle East region, said: "We selected Memac Ogilvy based on their thorough understanding of our regional markets and our consumers' needs. They presented an outstanding platform that we believe will deliver on our business objectives and take our brand forward.
"As for PHD, the creative and versatile approach to media demonstrated throughout the pitch process stood out from the other agencies. The work, delivery and content of the presentation demonstrated the high level of PHD's professionalism and excitement towards our brand."
Power Horse was first introduced into the Austrian market in 1994 and has since spread across the world. In the Middle East, it claims it has the highest volume share in Saudi Arabia and Yemen among the premium price segment within the energy drinks category.
Both Memac Ogilvy and PHD are headquartered in Dubai.
