
The Plymouth Gin Dock, which opened this month and runs until 18 September, features a 'Pennant Flag' hoisted between 4pm-7pm each day, to signify the start of the Plymouth 'hour', with gin and tonics being served for £5. The Pennant Flag was historically used by naval ships when in harbour to signal an invitation to others to gather and enjoy gin on their ship.
Rivington Grill has created a series of cocktails including The Pennant, with Plymouth, Plymouth sloe gin, Antica Formula, apricot brandy, lemon and orange and Bitter Peach, with Plymouth Navy, Plymouth fruit cup, crème de pêche, koko kanu and grapefruit.
Liam Murphy, brand manager at Plymouth Gin, said: "Our hand-crafted, artisanal gin is distinctive for its extensive history and discovery path, with links to the British Royal Navy. With its own extensive maritime history, Rivington Greenwich was the perfect partner for the Plymouth Gin Dock, enabling us to offer a premium cocktail experience in the heart of Greenwich."
